Agapé Hospice is a Medicare/Medicaid-certified full-service hospice. We are licensed throughout South Carolina and are experts in pain and symptom management. Our nurses and nursing assistants have received advanced certification in hospice and end of life care.
What Agapé provides:
Agapé Hospice provides care for people with a wide range of life-limiting illnesses, such as: cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung, liver and kidney disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer’s or AIDS. We emphasize quality of life by striving to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of our patients as well as the needs of their loved ones.
At Agapé, hospice does not equal hopelessness. Our stated and impassioned purpose is to provide comfort in uncomfortable situations.
Agapé Hospice can . . .
·Pay for medications related to terminal illnesses.
·Provide wheelchairs, hospital beds, bedside commodes, or any other medical equipment needed.
·Provide care for patients at home, in assisted living facilities, in nursing homes, or in residential care
·Provide nursing care, bathing and dressing assistance, daily essential care, and homemaking services.
·Provide spiritual and emotional support as well as volunteer and bereavement support.
·Provide additional services that may be required to serve individual patient needs.
·Provide respite when family members and/or caregivers need time away.
Who will provide the assistance?
·Nurses assess patients’ conditions and help with pain (and other symptom) management.
·Nursing assistants help with bathing, personal hygiene, and light housekeeping.
·Chaplains provide spiritual support for individuals and families.
·Social workers help identify and resolve problems, assist with financial and insurance counselling or aid with funeral planning.

Most patients are referred to Agapé Hospice by their physicians or other health care professionals. However, anyone – family, friends and neighbors – can refer patients to Agapé Hospice.
